The border is no longer a dividing line, but a thriving channel. Every day, thousands cross Erenhot Port, the busiest land port between China and Mongolia, to buy daily necessities and more. Beyond retail, China and Mongolia are jointly building the Erenhot-Zamyn-Uud Economic Cooperation Zone, spanning roughly nine square kilometers on each side to create a benchmark for cross-border synergy.
